Softcatalà presenta la versió en català de Fedora 12, continuant així amb el seu suport al programari lliure i la promoció del català en el món d'internet i les noves tecnologies.

Fedora 12 (nom en clau Constantine) presenta moltes novetats,  de les que podem destacar:

  • Empathy, una aplicació de missatgeria instantània que disposa de xat, vídeo i so.
  • Dispositius de so Bluetooth.
  • NetworkManager.
  • Packagekit.
  • També hi ha d'altres petites millores, com ara:
    * Barres de menú més clares i navegables
    * Un nou tema d'escriptori
    * Icones per a accedir més ràpidament a les carpetes de continguts especials
